Crafty Cards

washitapecards8
This week we are “stuck” on these washi tape cards! They are fun, colorful, and unique, but minimally messy. Essentially, they’re a dream come true in a pinch!
Materials:

  • Card Stock (we cut down manila folders)
  • Washi Tape (variety is the spice of life)
  • Construction Paper
  • Glue Sticks

Optional Materials:

  • Paper Scraps
  • Scissors
  • Markers

Scissors, markers, pre-cut card stock, and washi tape were already on the tables. In the younger classes, it was an absolute free for all. Marker strokes and tape going every which way; though, we did see some color schemes developing.

In the master classes, we showed an example with a linear tape pattern.

All classes’ cards ended with the card-stock glued to a piece of folder construction paper. The project, while quick and easy was fun and bright. Some students even took some time to draw and write in the cards.
