This week we drew with oil pastel and painted over our compositions with liquid water color. The oil pastel resists the watercolor for a very cool effect. The 18m – 2 yrs class also experimented with droppers and liquid watercolor making very cool tie dye art. This was a great project for practicing fine motor skills.
We also spent some time at the easel testing out new textures with toy cars, and rollers. I can’t help but love all the parallel painting.
Some of the new students enjoyed manipulating play dough, and showing off their art.
